Delaware Water Gap

The Delaware Water Gap can be easily seen from Rt. 611 in Bushkill, PA. This park is great for scenic drives, hiking, fishing, photography, bird-watching and much more. The wildlife is abundant and the view is spectacular. This is a great place for families to stroll around the waterfalls and ponds or for avid hikers trekking the Appalachian Trail.

The Delaware Water Gap received its namesake from the Delaware River. Over a long period of time, the Delaware slowly eroded though the conglomerate and sandstone rock of the Blue Mountain range to create a visible gap.

The height of the Blue Mountains around the gap is about 1,200 ft.
