Calculator 2: To use the population change or de/re-forestation land cover change calculator to assess the associated atmospheric CO2 flux change, enter the change in population or the area of forest cover change in the Input box. The atmospheric flux change is calculated in the blue box as kg CO2/year. Sinks (negative) are shown in green (net flux out of the atmosphere into the biosphere-forests) and sources (positive) are shown in red (net flux from forest to atmosphere).
